Are you facing the problem of write protection of your pen-drive?? Are you bothered with the error message that “pen-drive is write protected” while copying some stuff to your pen-drive??
Now stop ruffle about this. In this article I am going to explain you that how you can remove write protection from your pen-drive.
What is write protection? :- if your pen-drive is write protected then it will not permit you to store any new file or data, neither you can make changes in existing files. In short the pen-drive can’t make you to write any data into it, it can only be read.
Your pen-drives can get write-protected accidentally anytime, and people who are not technically sound thinks that their pen-drive is useless now. So here is the solution to remove it from your pen-drive with some simple commands. Just follow the steps below;
Step 1- Connect your pen-drive to the port in your system and find the assign letter (In my case it is D).
Step 2- Open command prompt by going to START>CMD and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.
Step3- type diskpart, and hit enter.
Step 4- type list disk, and hit enter.
Step 5- type select disk 1 , and hit enter.
Step 6 – Now type attributes disk clear readonly and hit enter.
And it’s done. Now you can use your pen-drive as before.
